Application rules

(1) Digitally scanned traditional paintings drawn with brushes, pencils, etc. and processed using digital technology are also eligible for submission.

(2) Works to be submitted must be original works created by the applicant, with all copyrights owned, and must not have been submitted to any other contest, etc.

(3) Copying or tracing existing works is prohibited.

(4) When using generation AI, please use creative processing.
Also, please carefully check the terms of use of the generation service you use to ensure there are no copyright issues.

(5) If you use external materials such as images in your submitted work, please use rights-free materials that are not subject to copyright or portrait rights. The organizer will not be held responsible for any possibility or claim of infringement of intellectual property rights or other rights of a third party.

(6) Video files are not eligible.

(7) Each work should be less than 10MB and submitted in Jpeg (JPG)/GIF/PNG/BMP/PDF format, or a compressed ZIP file.

(8) There is no limit to the number of submitted works, but only one work can be submitted per submission.

(1) Although the copyright of the submitted work belongs to the applicant, Kobe City or an organization authorized by Kobe City may use the work for free, on a web page, at an event, or in PR, without the consent of the applicant. etc., and may be used for secondary purposes other than commercial purposes. The copyright of the resulting work belongs to Kobe City. In addition, some images may be processed and used, such as by cropping. (Please note that the information may be lent to a third party at this time). Even in that case, the applicant shall not exercise the author's moral rights. If the information is to be used for commercial purposes, the purpose and conditions (paid or free) will be explained to the applicant in advance, and the information will only be used with the applicant's consent.

(2) Please ensure that the submitted work does not require any intellectual property rights processing such as copyright, and that the necessary permission procedures have been completed. Also, please do not post anything that identifies specific company names or product names.

(3) Please be careful not to infringe on portrait rights, honor, privacy, or other rights of third parties with regard to submitted works.

(4) Any accidents or other troubles that may occur during the creation of the submitted work (including legal claims such as claims for damages from persons who own intellectual property rights regarding the submitted work) will be resolved at the applicant's responsibility and expense. Kobe City shall not bear any responsibility.

(5) If there is any falsehood, violation, etc. in the application content or submitted work, or if it is determined that it infringes on the rights of others, it will not be subject to review. Furthermore, even after the winning work has been announced, the winning entry may be canceled and the prize money returned.

(6) Works that fall under, or are likely to fall under, any of the following will be excluded from consideration without notifying the applicant.

  2. Contains violent, discriminatory, obscene expressions, or promotes crime, which is contrary to public order and morals
  3. Things that defame or violate the privacy of individuals, companies, organizations, etc.
  4. Things that infringe on the copyrights, trademark rights, portrait rights, or other intellectual property rights of third parties
  5. Things intended to advertise companies or products, or promote or solicit specific ideologies such as politics or religion
  6. Contains expressions that are contrary to the purpose and theme of this contest and are inappropriate as works for PR of Kobe City
  7. Other content that the organizer deems inappropriate

(8) For submitted works that use portraits, copyrighted materials, or other materials owned by others, please obtain licensing approval in advance.

(9) If you are a minor, please apply with the consent of your parent or guardian.

(10) All expenses required for application shall be borne by the applicant.

(11) Entries will not be returned.
